Cheope (WIshing Immortality)

from What that Hollow shows through by Blooding Mask, Maethelyiah

/

about

Khufu, or better known Cheops or Cheope in Italian.
The lyrics are deliberately in Latin because Khufu was rather full of himself, and as he wanted to live forever, this is a bit of a "be careful what you wish for".
He wakes up after thousands of years feeling victorious because he is back and defeated Death.
However, when he spots the glass cabinet and the iron monsters parked outside (SUV) he realises that coming back wasn't such a good idea. Nothing is as it was.
Everything looks intimidating.
So he thinks Death is Death, and there is no Death more deadly than the one that won't let you die.

lyrics

Mors est Mors
et non est Mors
plus Mors quam Mors
que non relinquit obire
